Blinded Resident (2014) is an art project by Mariëlle Videler, an artistic research on the patterns of the Amazigh culture.
In the first part of Blinded Resident Mariëlle Videler stayed in an isolated place in Morocco, Kasbah de les Cigognes in Tamdaght, without actually seeing the country. During the second part of the project she was artist in residence at the Pompgemaal guest studio of the Mondriaan Fonds in The Netherlands. And created the installation: A New Carpet For The Sultan.
