WISSELZONE
For the project space of SIGN, the former entrée of the Noorderstation in Groningen, I initiated an installation titled WISSELZONE. By creating this situation I researched the exchange of objects in relation to: travel, giving and time. Especially uniformed time that was introduced, in the Netherlands, hundred years ago with the construction of the railways. During four weekends I met different guest artist in the installation: a repetitive but at the same time continue changing situation.

The guest artists were invited to travel to Groningen by train and to bring an 'object'. Each travel was illuminated in five stages: the travel, the arrival, the diner, the transfer of the 'object' and the departure. The project space was the temple of reception. I transformed the space with wall paintings, drawings, marks, special furniture, textile etc. Performative actions, with rhythmical movements and small objects, shaped the rituals for arrival and departure of the guest artists.
