The title of the performance refers to Eastern as well as Western culture. Kore (girl) is the name for old Greek sculptures that represent a figure between men and gods. All these sculptures have an 'archaic smile'.
During the performance a group of ten performers held during one hour one specific position. In China young women to prepare themselves being a host at the Olympic games this year in Beijing practice this training. Hidden in their hands the performers kept a small sound box with which they, every now and than, made a small peeping electronic animal sound.
